METHOD OF MONITORING SLACKNESS DEGREE OF AERIAL LINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure slackness degree of aerial lines without having to arrange a watchman on a pylon. SOLUTION: Images of aerial lines supported slackly astride neighboring pylons 1, 3 are taken from the pylon 1 of one side by a fixed camera 9 as a photographing means. The image data so obtained are transmitted to an image processing part which extracts the image part of the aerial lines them, the extracted image part of the aerial lines is used to calculate the slackness degree of the aerial lines 5a, 5b and to display the calculated result.
