PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regenerate crosslinked silicone rubber wastes at a high decomposition rate in a short time by contacting it with a solvent having a hydroxyl group in the molecule in a supercritical state to effect hydrolysis and recovering it in the shape of an uncrosslinked silicone rubber compound or as a silicone oil. SOLUTION: Crosslinked silicone rubber wastes are preferably subjected to regeneration treatment after crushed to pieces having a particle size of around 10-50 mm, and a solvent is preferably an alcohol. Among alcohols are preferably employed methanol, ethanol and propanol which have a low supercritical temperature and a low supercritical pressure. Moreover, a plurality of solvents having a hydroxyl group can be used in combination as required. The crosslinked silicone rubber wastes and the solvent are filled in a reactor equipped with a heating and pressurizing function such as an autoclave or the like and the inside of the reactor is maintained at the supercritical temperature or higher and the supercritical pressure of the solvent or higher, that is, in a supercritical state for a predetermined time.
|
