PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cutting resistance and to prevent the chipping by mounting a CBN chip part prepared by fixing CBN abrasive grain on an outer peripheral part of a disc-shaped metallid board and having a projecting part on its point surface, and mounting the abrasive grain layer prepared by fixing the abrasive grain, on a side surface of the metallic board at the inside of the chip part. SOLUTION: A CBN blade 11 properly used for cutting a hard material such as a semiconductor monocrystalline material, a quartz material, a glass material and the like, consists of a disc-shaped metallic board 12 rotatable at a high speed, and a chip part formed on an outer peripheral part of the metallic board by fixing CBN abrasive grains by metal bond, resin bond, electrodeposition and the like. An abrasive grain layer 13 prepared by fixing the abrasive grain is formed on a side surface of the metallic board 12 at the inside of the chip part 15, its point surface has a projecting part, and a point angle of the projecting part is determined within a range of 45-120 deg.. Further a height of a side surface of the abrasive grain layer 13 is determined to be lower than a height of a side surface of the CBN chip part 15. |
