PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor that can accurately measure the temperature of a solid electrolyte body even when resistances of lead wires disperse. SOLUTION: Porous electrodes 23a, 23b are arranged on the front and rear surfaces of a zirconia sheet 13 to constitute an oxygen concentration measuring cell. By measuring a resistance Rpvs between both ends of lead wires 23c, 23d through them, temperature of an element can be detected. Resistance Rlead of the lead wires 23c, 23d is designed to be about 19>. Near Rpvs=80Ω, variation of the Rpvs by 1Ω causes 1.34 deg.C temperature variation of the corresponding element. However, even when the Rlead disperses about 1.9Ω, namely 10%, measurement error of the element temperature caused by the dispersion is suppressed to be extremely low, namely about 2.5 deg.C. |
