The invention concerns a stretching apparatus for stretching the ankle. According to the invention, it contains a support piece 1, which can be fastened on the outside within the region of the thigh and knee, and a foot piece 8, as well as a regulating arrangement 5; 5' which joins the support piece and the foot piece and which is adjustably connected at its upper part to said support piece and at its lower part is linked to the foot piece. The adjustment arrangement enables stretching and controlled pronation and supination of the foot. The linked foot piece enables controlled extension and flexion of the foot. <IMAGE>
