PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the meaning insertion for discriminating homonyms from each other and to facilitate the understanding of the sentences of the entire text by listening to speech output by executing control so that the information for discriminating the homonyms is added to the speech output and the speech output is read loud when the decision as to what are the homonyms is not easy. SOLUTION: A homonym information insertion decision section 23 subjects the words admitted to have the homonyms by a homonym admission section 21 to the retrieval of the appearance context and appearance conditions relating to the homonyms stored in a homonym appearance context storage section 24. When the words satisfy the prescribed appearance context and appearance conditions relating to the homonyms in the text, an instruction is given to a text redundancy configuration section 3 in such a manner that the information for discriminating the words from the other homonyms is not added. When, on the other hand, the words do not satisfy the prescribed appearance context and appearance conditions, an instruction is given to the text redundancy configuration section 3 in such a manner that the information for discriminating the words from the other homonyms is added. |
