PRODUCTION OF COAL ASH GRANULATED MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a high-quality inexpensive coal ash granulated material by combining industrial wastes each having a low rate of utilization. SOLUTION: Electric furnace reduction slag is added to coal ash by 10-100% of the mass of the coal ash and a mixture is prepared in a mixer 1, sent to a mixing-kneading machine 3 through a stock hopper 2, kneaded with water and granulated with a granulator 5 to produce the objective coal ash granulated material. Strength is exhibited by comminuting the electric furnace reduction slag to a particle diameter equal to that of the coal ash before addition to the coat ash, and the production of the coal ash granulated material is facilitated by adding 1-5% bentonite based on the amount of the coal ash to the mixture.
