PURPOSE:To find the range of a moving body fast with simple constitution by providing a range finding means, an arithmetic means which calculates the displacement rate of a subject, and a means which predicts the position where the subject is expected to be a specific time later according to a distance signal and the displacement rate. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of the range finding means 14 which measures the distance to the subject and outputs a distance signal proportional to the reciprocal of the distance, the arithmetic means 15 which calculates the displacement rate of the subject 10 from the difference between different- timing outputs of the range finding means 14, a storage means stored with a correction quantity for the position where the subject 10 is expected to be the specific time later, and the predicting means 11 which refers to the data in the storage means according to the distance signal and displacement rate and predict the position where the subject is expected to be the specific time later. Consequently, the position at which the subject is expected to be the specific time later can be predicted without any complicate arithmetic such as reciprocal arithmetic and effective processing is performed in a short time. |
