STURCTURE OF MOTOR VEHICLE WHEEL

A wheel for an ATV type vehicle includes an aluminum alloy rim and an aluminum alloy disc secured to the rim. The disc is stamped from a plate material and includes a series of bolt holes for use in securing the wheel to a hub of the vehicle. The bolt holes include work hardened areas which define integral seats about the bolt holes. The structure is simple and cost effective to manufacture. The stamping of the disc allows the shaping of the disc for securement with the rim and to add strength to the disc. Preferrably, the disc includes a series of holes to reduce weight and to add to the appearance of the wheel.
