INFORMATION SERVICE SYSTEM AND ITS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate problems in an information service system employing a portable telephone with a browser function and an information service system for facsimile terminal by merging both systems thereby quickly serving information required for users. SOLUTION: A portable telephone 4 which a browser function transmits a menu page transmission request to a facsimile information server device 1, and the facsimile information server device 1 transmits a menu page to the portable telephone 4 with a browser function as its reply. Thus, a user can easily acquire the menu page. When the menu is displayed on a screen of the telephone 4 with a browser function, the user refers to the menu page to select a required information page. Then the telephone 4 with a browser function transmits a facsimile transmission instruction to the facsimile information server device 1, and the facsimile information server device 1 faxes an information page to the telephone 4 with a browser function.
