PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a print element in which a defective print element can be discarded by holding a collective ink assembly only on a print element and not using the housing as a part of the collective ink assembly thereby inspecting the print element before being connected with the housing. SOLUTION: The print element comprises a heat sink 36, a printed wiring member 38 fixed to the heat sink 36, a thermal ink jet assembly 40 fixed to the heat sink 36, and a collective assembly 42 fixed to the heat sink 36. The collective assembly 42 comprises a first fixing base for connecting a first ink source removably to the collective assembly 42, and a first outlet to a thermal ink jet assembly 40. |
