PURPOSE: A suction air supplying device for an engine cylinder is provided to supply an optimum amount of air to through all the operation range of an engine for improving the fuel ratio and engine output and reduce noise by damping a noise frequency in the engine operation range and the suction noise by a resonator. CONSTITUTION: A suction air supplying device for an engine cylinder includes a cylindrical serge tank(1) connected to a throttle body via an air suction hole(2) at a side, a resonator(3) received in the serge tank concentrically and having a predetermined volume for reducing air suction noise and a neck part(4) communicated with the serge tank, a suction manifold(5) connected to a cylinder head(6) for distributing air to each cylinder from the serge tank, and a variable valve(9) formed at a side of air channels(7,8) in the shape of banana on an outer periphery of the resonator, wherein the air suction hole is formed at an upper part of the serge tank, the manifold is connected to a lower part of the serge tank, and the variable valve blocks off the air channels at a lower speed operation but opens the air channels at a high speed operation under the control of an electronic control unit(11).
