PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interference canceller that can correctly evaluate the reliability of signal processing conducted by an ICU and reduces received interference by utilizing an evaluation result. SOLUTION: The multi-stage type interference canceller user an ICU 12 in time division for signal processing of each stage. In this case, a RAM 26 stores an inverse spread symbol (m) being the output of an inverse spread section 22 for each stage and a RAM 36 stores a tentative discrimination result symbol (b) being the output of a tentative discrimination section 34 for each stage. An accuracy discrimination section 38 discriminates the reliability of the signal processing by the ICU 12 on the basis of an inter-stage shift of the internal signal of the ICU 12. A coefficient selection section 50 supplies a coefficient αn based on the discrimination result to a multiplier 48, which outputs a signal subjected to gain control based on the discrimination result. |
