PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for composing images are provided to reduce a composition time by composing immediately a plurality of computer video data signals with an external video signal. CONSTITUTION: A key input portion(61) is used for inputting selectively a control condition when a video signal and an audio signal are inputted. An A/D converter portion(62) converts an analog signal into a digital signal. A folder(64) is used for storing inputted signals each field. A control portion(65) is used for storing a data address related to operating control of the audio signal and the video signal. A data portion(63) receives values according to data control conditions from the folder(64) and the control portion(65). A composition portion(67) is used for composing the audio signal and the video signal of the data portion(63) with motion pictures.
