<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the correct gauge control by detecting the displacement of a backup roll center in rolling or also in an interval of rolling. SOLUTION: The roll gap disturbance Sdis is found from the deflection of the measured plate thickness h from the preset value hc, and by expanding this in Fourier series, components corresponding to a spinning cycle of the backup roll are extracted, and by repeating this calculation and using a phase shiftαof the top and bottom backup rolls in two phase conditions, each displacement of the top and bottom backup roll centers SRt (θt), SRb (θb) is calculated. In the gauge control, the true roll gap correctionΔS in which two displacements of the backup roll center are reduced from AGC roll gap correctionΔSAGC obtained from the automatic gauge control apparatus, is used.</p> |
