The hand rail (1) is fixed on the structural part by a fastening element (2) and an expanding element (3) which is spread out in the fitted state to engage with the fastening element so that the latter cannot come loose from the hand rail. The fastening element which can be elastically deformable has retaining notches. The handle can have holding sections to engage with the engagement sections of the fastening element.
