The antenna comprises two planar array layered antenna units, one operating in a low frequency band, the other operating in a high frequency band. The first antenna is the top unit and the second antenna is the bottom unit. The first unit has dielectric plates with front and rear faces, planar patch areas filled with conducting material on the face of a dielectric plate array, and a feed array, each having a feed connected to one of the array patches. Each patch resonates at the low frequencies and is transparent to the high frequencies, while a ground plane reflects low frequencies and is transparent to high frequencies. The second antenna is similarly constructed. |
