PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper container having excellent recycling suitability and excellent barrier properties for a gas, an odor, a steam or the like and capable of preserving a content for a long period and preventing transfer of the odor or the like. SOLUTION: The paper container is constituted of converted paper formed by sequentially laminating a resin composition layer (B) obtained by blending an inorganic layer compound of 0.01 to 200 pts.wt. with a water-soluble polymer compound of 100 pts.wt., and a resin layer (C) in this order on one or both side surfaces of a paper base material (A).
