RECORDER AND RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder and a recording method capable of stably and accurately recording an image by avoiding influences such as a dimensional error or a recording characteristic specific to a recording head and an attachment error due to attaching or detaching of the recording head. SOLUTION: A recording condition detecting section 32 as a detecting means is attached to a carriage 3 to be moved in a main scanning direction A and the recording head 2 is replaceably mounted thereon. An image recorded on a recording medium by the recording head 2 is detected by the recording condition detecting section 32 and then the recording head 2 is controlled based on the detected result.
