<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a prediction value with high accuracy. SOLUTION: First R values (circle mark) are selected as prediction object from a target pixel having each of RGB components. Since prediction values of other components (G and B values) of the target pixel are not yet obtained at this point of time, the predicted R values are obtained from each component of 4 pixels respectively adjacent to the target pixel at the left position, the upper left position, the upper position and the upper right position (Figure 4(A)). Then G values (triangle mark) are selected as prediction object components. Since the predicted R values of the target pixel have already been obtained at this point of time, the prescribed G values are obtained by each component of 4 pixels adjacent to the target pixel and the R values of the target pixel (Figure 4(B)). Finally B values (square mark) are selected as prediction object components. Since the predicted R, G values of the target pixel have already been obtained at this point of time, the predicted B values are obtained by each component of 4 pixels adjacent to the target pixel and the R and G values of the target pixel (Figure 4(C)).</p> |
