<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely pull a belt in all over by pretensioners in a crash of a vehicle to surely restraing an occupant. SOLUTION: This method is a pretensioner actuating method for the vehicle provided with an air bag and the pretensioners as an occupant protecting device, the pretensioners 10, 10 for pulling the seat belt 9 in along the fastening direction following development of the cur bag are provided in at least two portions selected from the group of a retractor 5 for the seat belt 9, a buckle 7 for the seat belt 9 and a lap 8 for the seat belt 9, and the two pretensioners 10 are actuated by two steps with a prescribed time lag in the crash of the vehicle.</p> |
