PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rental system for electronic equipment which can securely prevent the electronic equipment from being used even after its expiration in a system which gathers necessary information from rented equipment through a network line and automatically sets a charge in consideration of the weighted value of a brandnew or second-hand equipment, etc., according to the repayment price of machinery and materials, a print use quantity, a use electric charge, and the price of consumption of consumables. SOLUTION: A rented printer 4 and a managing server 2 are connected through the Internet 3 and the printer 4 reports information on its use state to the managing server 2 at specific intervals. The managing server 2 calculates a charge according to the information and reports it to the user through the Internet 3. Further, information on the use period is also managed by the managing server 2 and a use top signal is supplied to the printer when its period expires to securely prevent the printer from being used thereafter. |
