PURPOSE: A fire alarm is provided, which don't need the electrical power and is operated by the only mechanical mechanism due to the winding of a spring, and uses a shape memory alloy for sensing a fire. CONSTITUTION: The fire alarm comprises a bell-striking unit(A) which strikes a bell; a gear unit(C) which allows a spring to rotate mechanically after it is wound; a spring unit(E) which comprises a plurality of springs to be stopped or rotated for striking a bell; a shape memory alloy unit(G) which is expanded at a temperature above 50 deg.C, thereby making the springs be moved and allowing a bell to be struck; and an alarm generation unit(H) which rings a bell by the striking of a bell.
