PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized, low cost, simple and light weight machine for driving-away birds and animals without injuring them by using laser beams. SOLUTION: This machine for driving away the birds and animals is equipped with a casing 1 having an opening 1b in a sidewall 1a, a light source supporting member 2, a freely rotatable supporting member 3, a light source 4 supported by the light source supporting member 2, a dimming part 5, a driving motor 6 for moving the light source supporting member 2, a control box 7 and a first movable light control plate 8 (8a and 8b) and a second movable light control plate 9. The first movable light control plate 8 comprises the two movable shutters 8a and 8b and is installed so as to be movable in the horizontal direction (F31 and F32 in Fig. 1) in a plane intersecting the front and rear directions at right angles and movable in the front and rear directions (F2 and Fig. 1) to project laser beams 10 from the light source 4 through a slit between the shutter members 8a and 8b.
