<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effectively separating fine shavings of about 10μm or smaller off a plastic lens from a polishing water. SOLUTION: Aluminum sulfate 2 is charged into a suspension containing the polishing water and the shavings for agglomerating the shavings. Further, calcium hydroxide 3 is used for neutralization to cause precipitation of the aluminum hydroxide and the calcium sulfate. Flocks of shavings are precipitated concurrently with the precipitation.</p> |
