<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner showing good deinking property and whiteness degree in the process of generating used paper which are assumed to be owing to the alkali hydrolysable property ofα-hydroxycarboxylic acid and having good fixing property, pulverizing property, hot offset resistance, storage property and electrification property and excellent performance. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic toner, polyα-hydroxycarboxylic acid and styrene-based resin are mixed to be used as a binder resin. The binder resin used in the electrophotographic toner essentially comprises the resin obtained by dispersing and mixing polyα-hydroxycarboxylic acid and styrene- based resin in a solid state or mixing as a state dissolved in a solvent and removing the solvent. The polyα-hydroxycarboxylic acid is obtained by a direct dehydration polymerization condensation method.</p> |
