PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin and light laminated film for a battery having various mechanical strengths, high barrier property against steam or the like, high resistance against electrolyte and acid, and high heat resistance, and molding property for a thin tray-like container, and a high performance battery container using it. SOLUTION: The laminated film 50 for the battery is formed of a laminated body where at least heat resistant protective layer 1 (0.5 to 3.0μm in thickness), two-axis stretching nylon film 2 (15 to 30μm in thickness), a metal foil layer 3 (20 to 50μm in thickness), and a thermally adhesive resin layer 4 (30 to 40μm in thickness) are laminated in that order from the outside. The laminated film is molded into a bag-like container or a thin, cover-and-body type, and tray-like container having a flange to form the battery container. The heat resistant layer 1 is made of ionizing radiation hard type resin or thermoset resin, and the metal film layer 3 is preferably made of aluminum foil having surface applied with chromate treatment.
