摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the titled soft magnetic alloy showing high saturation magnetic flux density and high magnetic permeability in a high frequency zone by specifying the composition of an alloy consisting of Co, Al, Si and Fe. CONSTITUTION:This soft magnetic alloy with high saturation magnetization and high magnetic permeability consists of, by weight, 0.5-35% Co, 3.0-6.0% Al, 5.0-10.0% Si and the balance Fe, and it is an extremely superior material used as the material of the core of a magnetic head for high density recording. When the amount of Co exceeds the upper limit, the soft magnetism becomes improper, and when the amount is below the lower limit, high saturation magnetic flux density is not attained. When the amounts of Al and Si exceeds the upper limits, high saturation magnetic flux density is not attained, and when the amounts are below the lower limits, soft magnetism can not be provided. Therefore, the composition range is specified in the above-mentioned range, respectively.
