PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a photosensitive paste capable of achieving good patterning and capable of forming high reflectance partition walls that contribute toward enhancing luminance and color purity, and to provide a member for plasma display manufactured by using the photosensitive paste and a plasma display. SOLUTION: In the method for preparing the photosensitive paste containing a metallic compound (A), a glass powder having a low melting point and a photosensitive organic component, the metallic compound (A) is obtained by hydrolyzing and condensing a metallic compound (B) in the presence of a polyol.
