PURPOSE: A face recognition security method is provided to compare and identify a face image by observing an input image through a camera and extracting a characteristic of face color and shape previously inputted in a database. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of picturing a face of object to come in a building through an entrance with a camera(S10), searching a face same to the pictured face from the database by applying the face image to a central process center(S20), extracting a shape of face, figure, position of eyes, nose and mouse, and skin color from the pictured face image, recognizing that the face of object is similar to the extracted face characteristic and the face characteristic stored in the database(S40), checking that the extracted face characteristic and the face characteristic stored in the database is same or not(S50), and permitting an entrance for object in case of same face and generating an alarm sound in case of not same face(S70).
