PURPOSE: A method for preparing a tubular structural parts and its use are provided, which tubular structural parts is prepared from a PGM(Platinum Group Metals) material and has the circumferential undulating bulges. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of inserting a smooth-walled tube piece(1) into a cylindrical molding die(2) with an internal diameter which corresponds to the external diameter of the tube piece and which has radial undulating recesses(3); providing a press tool(4,5) which seals the terminal part of the tube tightly, at both axial terminals; filling the formed space with the hydraulic fluid(6) completely; and exerting an axial compression via the press tools(4,5) in such a way that bulges(7) are formed in the wall of the tube piece which corresponds to the recesses(3) of the molding die(2) under the simultaneous shortening of the tube piece.
