<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an agent useful for prophylaxis and treatment of intimal thickening and restenosis after percutaneous transluminal angioplasty(PTA) [including percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty(PTCA)], after indwelling of a stent, after bypass surgery, after ischemia, etc. SOLUTION: This intimal thickening inhibitor comprises a cell growth factor belonging to an epidermal growth factor family(EGF family) and having a binding ability to an EGF factor receptor or a polypeptide homologous to the cell growth factor or comprising an amino acid sequence in which one or several amino acids are deleted, substituted, inserted or added.</p> |
