PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption required for transmission/reception of a command for polling the states of communication devices between the communication devices and to exclude occupancy of radio channels. SOLUTION: The communication device is characterized in that the device is provided with a wireless connection means that has modes and makes wireless connection to other device, a response return means that replies a response in response to a request from the other device, and a notice processing selection execution means that selectively executes either a 1st notice processing informing the response reply means about the request from the other device or a 2nd processing informing the response reply means about the request on behalf of the other device and a state change discrimination means that discriminates a state change in the communication device. The wireless connection means is a means that revises the mode in response to an instruction from the other device and the notice processing selection execution means selects the 1st notice processing or the 2nd notice processing in response to the revision of the mode.
