PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink composition which contains an aluminum powder pigment and a natural polysaccharide, can inhibit the reaction of the aluminum powder pigment with water, can prevent the settling of the aluminum powder pigment, etc., and can retain excellent writing characteristics and metallic gloss for a long time. SOLUTION: This ink composition essentially contains an aluminum powder pigment, a dye, a natural polysaccharide, and a pH regulator comprising at east either (1) a weak base consisting of ammonia or an amine or (2) a salt of a weak acid and a strong base. The pH of the composition is regulated to 7-10 by the pH regulator. |
