PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time caused by an electronic component mounting machine failure, as much as possible, even in the case of abnormality such as no component supply and failure in the electronic component mounting machine that has the component supply unit for accommodating a plurality of electronic components and for appropriately supplying the plurality of electronic components to a component mounting unit. SOLUTION: The component supply units 14 and 16 are arranged at each of two positions, that are set to both the sides of the conveyance path of a printed circuit board 12. The printed circuit board 12 is positioned at a target position and is held between the component supply units 14 and 16. Additionally, the component mounting unit 30 is provided, where it takes out the electronic components from one that is selected from either the component supply units 14 and 16. By the component mounting unit, one of the component supply units is selected for starting the placement of the electronic components. After that, when the component supply unit that has been selected currently fails, another component supply unit is selected for continuing mounting of the electronic components by the component mounting unit. |
