PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet-cutting device reducing electric power consumption and extending a life of a mechanism by reducing transfer resistance of a movable edge for reducing loads applied on a motor and a drive mechanism without deteriorating a cutting performance. SOLUTION: This sheet cutting device is provided with an energizing member abutting on a projection part of the movable edge and energizing the movable edge toward a stationary edge or a pressing means having an inclined surface provided on the projection part of the movable edge for strongly pressing the movable edge on the stationary edge at a beginning of sheet cutting and reducing the pressing force after the beginning of sheet cutting.
