The containing tube (112), extending between the two driven shafts (130,142), is free to rotate about the cylindrical drive motor stator (116), which is supported at one end by a fixed round bar (122), passing coaxially through an extension (124), at reduced diameter, of the tube. The extension ends in a worm gear (128) meshing with a pinion on the driven shaft. A fixed housing (132) contains and supports the components. The motor's electrical connections reach the stator through the support bar. The motor rotor (114) drives an output shaft (120), keyed to the tube's transverse partition, (126) through a reduction gear (118) that integrally extends the stator cylinder. The tube's closed end (134) supports a coaxial spindle (136), with a worm drive (135) for the second driven shaft (142), similar to that of the first. Frictional resistance between cylindrical components is minimized by suitable lubrication using plain or ball bearings. The second shaft's worm drive (136) is connected to the rotatable tube through a helical spring coupling (138). Several variants are described, as is the application of the invention to motorized window shutters. |
