PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computed tomograph in which the whole or the to-be- noticed part in the cross-sectional image of a specimen can be put easily inside the visual field of the cross-sectional image. SOLUTION: On the cross-sectional image by a first positioning scan, an operator sets an ROI 22 in an arbitrary to-be-noticed part by an ROI setting part 32. A movement-amount calculation part 33 calculates the movement amount of the specimen 4 when the ROI 22 is aligned with the rotation center C on the cross-sectional image and commands a mechanism control part 11 to move the specimen 4 by the portion of the movement amount.
