PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of the connection between a hose unit (first apparatus) and a cleaner body (second apparatus), which are disposed at different locations, by connecting both of them by a small number of wires. SOLUTION: A hose unit 16, in which a dust detecting means 17 to generate a signal according to the state of an apparatus and a power source generating means 7 to impress operating voltage on the detecting means 17 are provided, and a cleaner body 23, which feeds operating power to the unit 16 and detects signals from the unit 16 as voltage value Vo, thereby processing signals from the unit 16, are provided. The unit 16 and the cleaner body 23 are disposed at different locations and both of them are connected by two wires 25, so that feeding operating power to the unit 16 and transmitting output signal from the unit 16 can be effected through the wires 25.
