PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create accounting information for each person to be charged when data expired as to a designated expiration date of storage, contained in the external recording device of an image input/output device, are stored in an external storage device having a larger capacity than the external recording device. SOLUTION: A digital copier 1 includes a main control part 2 for managing an entire system; an operating part 3; a scanner 4; a plotter 5 or recording document information onto recording paper; a memory 6 for storing a variety of control programs and for temporarily saving the document information read; a compression extension part 7 for encoding and decoding the information read; an external storage part 8; a retrieving part 9; a file information storage part 10; a LAN communication control part 11; an external storage part 12; and an accounting part 13. The external storage part 8 attaches a file number to the document information read by the scanner 4 and stores the information in the external storage device 21. The external storage part 12 stores the data in the external storage device 22. The accounting part 13 produces accounting information when the data expired as the expiration data of storage are stored in the external storage device 22. |
