<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide rubber chips obtained by comminuting a used tire which are suitable to impart an elasticity to absorb a load impact to a rail with a track bed by mixing the chip with a ballast and to provide a method for manufacturing the rubber chips. SOLUTION: The rubber chips 1... are obtained by cutting out the part of the tire, each of which does not contain a reinforcing member of the tire such as a metal fiber, an organic fiber or the like, obtaining a raw material made of the rubber part, and then comminuting the material to a particle size of the same degree as that of ballasts 2... by cutter comminuting. In this case, as the used tire to become the raw material, a used tire which has a tread part having a sufficient thickness for an off-road tire, a solid tire or the like for a construction machine vehicle or an industrial vehicle is used.</p> |
