PURPOSE: A CRT panel lapping device is provided to accurately lap surface of the panel and improve lapping efficiency, while allowing lapping device tracking to be smoothly performed and increasing mechanical strength of lapping device. CONSTITUTION: A CRT panel lapping device(20) comprises a sheet(30) having an elasticity; a plurality of lapping units attached to the lower surface of the sheet, and which lap face of the panel; and a backing(50) having an elasticity and which is attached to the upper surface of the sheet. The sheet has a shaped corresponding to the curvature of the face of the panel. The sheet is formed into a thickness of 0.5 to 15mm. Each lapping unit includes a pellet(40) having a top attached to the lower surface of the sheet, and a lapping member(42) attached to the lower end of the pellet.
