<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer that can adequately operates without having multiple sensors even when a power source is turned off during the printing and the power source is turned on again. SOLUTION: This printer 10 reproduces (prints) an image corresponding to image data input from a supply source of the image data on a photosensitive type printing paper. The printer 10 comprises a microcomputer 16, a gate IC 18, an EEPROM 42, a heater 32, a motor 26, an LED head 22, a set of linear scale and a sensor 28, and a sensor 40. When printing, information indicative of status of the printer 10 corresponding to the procedure of printing is stored in the EEPROM 42. When the power source is turned off and it is turned on again, the information stored in the EEPROM 42 is read and analyzed. When it is judged that the printing paper is left in the printer 10, the printing paper is discharged.</p> |
