PURPOSE: A deflection yoke of a color cathode ray tube is provided to improve the adjustment between a cathode ray tube and a deflection yoke by placing the thickness of a neck flange and the position of an adjusting bar from the neck flange in a predetermined ratio. CONSTITUTION: A horizontal deflection coil is comprised of a screen flange coil(21a), a first neck flange coil(21b), a second neck flange coil, and a main deflection coil(21d). A ratio of a thickness 't' of the first neck flange(21b) and a position 'z' of an adjusting bar(30) located onto an electron gun from the first neck flange(21b) is defined as 'a=t/z'. The ratio has a>=1.6. As a result, an asymmetry between red beam and blue beam appeared on left and right sides of a screen is solved by a leakage magnetic field control method so that the deflection sensitivity is maintained in an appropriate level.
