<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press molding apparatus for preventing the mold from warping and enabling precise press processing and to provide a method for manufacturing optical elements. SOLUTION: The press molding apparatus has a set of forming molds composed of upper molds 102a, 102b and lower molds 104a, 104b. The upper molds 102a, 102b are attached to a common fixed shaft 118 through the upper support shafts 110a, 110b. The lower molds 104a, 104b are driven by a common drive shaft 120 through the upper support shaft 112a, 112b. The upper molds 102a and 102b and the lower molds 104a and 104b are induction heated collectively by induction heating coils 122, 124, respectively.</p> |
