PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify attaching work and setting work for a door sensor, to enhance a degree of freedom when a detection range is changed in response to situations of an installed position and a gateway for an automatic door, and to interlock a changing operation of the sensor with a closing operation of the door, in an automatic door opening and closing device capable of changing the detection range of the door sensor to get wide and narrow. SOLUTION: In this automatic door opening and closing device for detecting the existence of a person within the detection range in the vicinity of the door by the door sensor to opening-and-closing-control the door, a liquid crystal panel 22 for shielding light normally and brought into a translucent condition when a voltage is impressed is arranged in a front face of a front lens 21 in the door sensor 20 so as to make the detection ranges S1 , S2 of the sensor variable. |
