<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a router which enables an external terminal to access a local terminal in a LAN through the always connected Internet in the absence of settings of a VPN. <P>SOLUTION: The router specifies and accesses the local terminal from the outside by using a static IP masquerade function and also using a combination of a global address and a port number or converting them.
