PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly fix a tool on a tool holder by shrinkage fit. SOLUTION: A ferromagnetic collar (6) for shrinkage fit is fit over the tool holder (4), of which at least the portion having an interference for shrinkage fit is made of low permeability material. And then, the tool holder (4) is heated by electromagnetic induction. Next, after the tool (3) is inserted into a tool mounting bore (5) of the tool holder (4), the tool holder is cooled.
