<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selective reflecting member with reduced dependence of the viewing angle and to provide a color selective member. <P>SOLUTION: The selective reflecting member comprises a substrate not subjected to uniaxial alignment treatment and a layer formed by polymerizing a polymerizable liquid crystal layer containing a liquid crystal compound having at least one polymerizable group, a chiral agent and an air interface aligning agent having the effect of eliminating a volume while fractioning the layer by colors or without fractioning. The color selective member comprises a substrate not subjected to uniaxial alignment treatment, a layer formed by exposing a polymerizable liquid crystal layer containing a liquid crystal compound having at least one polymerizable group, a chiral agent and an air interface aligning agent having the effect of eliminating a volume for color fractioning and then polymerizing the layer, and a light absorbing layer in this order. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
