PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatic polyamide film having excellent slitting properties and a small edge damage. SOLUTION: The aromatic polyamide film has a refractive index mark of the film of 0.02 or less in the direction of a thickness and a curling amount of a widthwise direction at a heating time of 10% or less by releasing a film obtaining a self-supportability from a support and heating a non-supporting contact surface of the film.
